Principle of Total Silver Analyzer

Principle: in the presence of Sodium lauryl sulfate, silver reacts with 3,5-Br2-PADAP in acetate buffer at ph 4.5-8.5 to form a stable red complex with a 1:2 ratio, the absorbance of the complex is proportional to the silver content in the water sample. The silver content in the water sample is calculated by measuring the absorbance of the complex.
