Principle of Total Iron Analyzer
Iron and its compounds are low toxicity and micro-toxicity, high iron content of water often with yellow, iron smell, on the appearance of water have an impact. The main sources of iron pollution in water are mineral processing, smelting, iron smelting, mechanical processing, industrial electroplating, acid washing wastewater and so on.
Principle: iron in water sample is digested into iron ions by digestion solution, the high-valent iron ion is converted into ferrous ion by adding reductant, and stable orange-red complex is formed between the ferrous ion and o-phenanthroline in acid medium, the iron content in the water sample can be calculated.
