Measurement Principle
The PMI800-CH portable chlorophyll analyzer consists of a PMI-800 portable host and a PCH-300 portable chlorophyll sensor. The chlorophyll sensor utilizes the characteristic that chlorophyll has an absorption peak and an emission peak in the spectrum. When the spectral absorption peak of chlorophyll emits monochromatic light and illuminates the water, the chlorophyll in the water absorbs the energy of the monochromatic light, releasing another wavelength. The monochromatic light of the emission peak, the light intensity emitted by chlorophyll is proportional to the content of chlorophyll in the water.
