A line of Vortex impeller submersible pumps called Grundfos AP60 is intended for the transport of drainage or wastewater. They are appropriate for pumping liquids containing bigger particles, including fibers and textiles, because of their 62 mm spherical clearance. They are used in trade, industry, and the public and private sectors for a variety of purposes. Because of their small size, the pumps can be installed permanently or temporarily. The pumps can be mounted on a ring stand at the bottom of the pit or on an auto-coupling system.
Wear-resistant materials like stainless steel and cast iron are used to make pumps. 0.8 and 1.8 kW motors are available for AP60 pumps. The connection on the pump housings is G 2 1/2" threaded. DN 65 is the nominal exit diameter. The pumps are made to run continuously (S1). The pump can run constantly in this mode of operation without stopping to cool. On request, models with float switch control are offered. An external thermal switch needs to be attached for heat protection (get in touch with Grundfos).
