Engineers and EnviroTech Systems. Reverse osmosis, or R.O., is an important phase in the water purification process. Salts, bacteria, and numerous high molecular weight organics are removed from water by reverse osmosis. Reverse Osmosis, as opposed to normal filtering, is a membrane separation process in which the feed water runs under pressure across a semipermeable membrane and separates into two streams. The filtered water, or permeate, flows through the membrane, while the concentrate water, or reject water, comprising dissolved and undissolved salts, is released to the drain.
The reverse osmosis systems are field proven, extremely reliable, and cost effective for treating a wide range of brackish fluids. Reverse Osmosis systems are designed for flexibility. State-of-the-art spiral wound reverse osmosis membranes tailored to a specific application. These systems can remove 90-98% of total dissolved salts. The capacity of a RO system is determined by the water temperature, total dissolved solids in the feed water, operating pressure, and overall system recovery.

RO Applications
  1. Desalination.
  2. Toxic Components are finally removed.
  3. If biological treatment is not possible, use biodegradable components.
  4. Post-treatment of the permeate using ion exchange and GAC adsorption.
