Al-Maymanah produces water with exceptional purity and low silt density by using barriers to suspend solids, bacteria, viruses, endotoxins, and other pathogens. Our system uses two membrane filtration techniques in conjunction with hydrostatic pressure to force water through a semi-permeable membrane. Nearly all colloidal particles (0.01 to 1.0 microns) and some of the largest dissolved pollutants are eliminated from water by the ultrafiltration (UF) process. The pores in the ultrafiltration membrane usually have a size between 103 and 106 Daltons. Ultrafiltration (UF) produces remarkably pure, low-silt-density water by establishing a pressure-driven barrier against bacteria, viruses, endotoxins, and suspended particles.
