Pure water ultrafiltration is a pressurized membrane separation technology in which small molecular solutes and solvents pass through a special membrane with a specific pore size while large molecular solutes are impermeable and remain on one side of the membrane, resulting in the partial purification of macromolecular substances.
The pure water ultrafiltration system utilizes superior membrane separation technology. The solvent and various small solutes contained in the feed liquid pass through the filter membrane from the high pressure feed liquid side to the low pressure side, resulting in the permeate or ultrafiltrate. The micropores of the ultrafiltration membrane can reach below 0.01 micron (1/100,000th of a millimeter), which can effectively remove particles, colloids, bacteria, heat sources, and organic matter in the water, while the solute molecules larger than the membr
Working principle

  • The basic principle is to use an asymmetric microporous structure and a semi-permeable membrane medium at room temperature with a specific pressure and flow rate, using the pressure difference on both sides of the membrane as a driving force, to filter in a cross-flow mode, allowing solvent and small molecular substances to pass through. The filter membrane blocks macromolecular substances and microparticles such as proteins, water-soluble polymers, microorganisms, and so on, allowing a new form of membrane separation technology to fulfill its separation, classification, purification, and concentration goals.
  •  Ultrafiltration is a pressure-driven membrane separation method.  Ultrafiltration membranes can separate macromolecular and colloidal substances with a molecular mass of 5-1 million and particle diameters ranging from 0.005-0.1 μm. The separation process is typically mechanical sieves. The ultrafiltration membrane module has plate and roll ultrafiltration membranes for water purification.
  •  Concentration polarization is a normal occurrence in the membrane separation process. One of the most essential aspects of ultrafiltration technology is minimizing this occurrence.
  • The steps performed are:
  1. Increase the water flow rate on the membrane surface to minimize the thickness of the boundary layer and remove intercepted solutes in time.
  2. Use physical or chemical washing techniques.
