Dissolved air flotation, or DFA, is a wastewater treatment technique that uses air bubbles to separate solids from liquids. In addition to eliminating grease, suspended particles, and other contaminants from wastewater, it also lessens odor. By decreasing the pressure of high-pressure reflux dissolved air water, the gadget produces a huge number of microbubbles. These bubbles create an air float that is less dense than water by attaching themselves to suspended particulates in the wastewater that are nearly as dense as water. Their buoyancy eventually causes them to rise to the water's surface. The water is subsequently purified by the skimming equipment removing the floaters.
