For industrial water, EDI ultrapure water (electrodeionization, or EDI for short) is a novel method that combines ion exchange and electrodialysis to accomplish effective desalination. In order to create ultrapure water, the ions in the water are separated using an electric field and then extracted by passing them through an ion exchange membrane. Because of its high efficiency, energy savings, and environmental protection, this technology has been widely used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and electronics industries.

Applications of EDI Equipment
1. Chemical treatment of power plant water
2. Ultrapure water for the semiconductor, electronics, and precision machinery sectors
3. Food, drink, and drinking water preparation
4. A group of people sipping fresh water from little stations
5. Water for cutting-edge fields and delicate chemicals
6. Making high-purity water that is needed by other industries
7. Water processing for the pharmaceutical sector
8. Desalination of brackish and saltwater.

Characteristics of ultrafiltration apparatus
1. No need for acid and alkali regeneration:
In a mixed bed, the resin must be renewed using chemicals; however, EDI removes the requirement for heavy labor and the handling of these hazardous materials, safeguarding water equipment.
2. Continuous and simple operation: The water production process of EDI is stable and continuous, the water quality of the produced water is constant, there is no complex operating procedure, and the operation of the Ultra-pure Water Purification System is greatly simplified. In contrast, the operation process in a mixed bed becomes complicated due to each regeneration and change in water quality.
3. Less installation requirements: The EDI system has a smaller volume than a mixed bed with an equivalent level of water treatment.  It uses a building block construction and can be built in a variety of ways depending on the site's height and location. Water Purification Machines' modular architecture makes EDI simple to maintain during production.
