With their distinctive split pattern and slit forms, Xylem's Sanitaire Silver Series II membrane disc diffusers distribute air bubbles in a very uniform and fine pattern for excellent oxygen transfer efficiency. The premium, carefully mixed EPDM elastomer compounds offer more than a decade of demonstrated performance while resisting typical membrane degradation. Because of the special form of the membrane, the integrated O-ring, and the top-sealing threaded retainer ring that prevents leaks, lower energy usage and increased operating efficiency are made possible. A very efficient integrated check valve makes it simple to close the aeration zones for air-on/air-off uses.
The unique pipe joints from Sanitaire are made to resist dynamic loads like water hammer and temperature expansion and contraction, and the pipe supports allow for limitless height adjustment for precise grid leveling. The spline joint design reduces the possibility of installation faults for contractors and facilitates ease of installation. Sanitaire ceramic disc systems and the Silver Series II system's piping and other components are completely interchangeable.
