The term is called loess, and it is widely distributed throughout the world, including Northeast China, Central Asia, Southern Russia, Central Europe, North Africa, America, Argentina, and New Zealand. The color of ocher varies depending on the region and is generally red, brown, off-white, dark brown, etc. The general components of ocher are calcium oxides, potassium oxides, magnesium oxides, sodium oxides, etc., such as 65% silicon oxide and 15% alumina oxide, etc. are evenly distributed. Made ocher is a comfortable material with good affinity, warm temperament, and non-toxicity.

Physical properties of loess

  1.  The temperature of loess is almost unchanged at 20℃ during the four seasons in Korea.
  2. The main component of Korea's loss is silicon oxide, which is the main component of sand.
  3. Sio2, which occupies most of the loess, has a high oxidation affinity and increases oxygen adsorption when it is with water, increasing the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water.
  4. The farther away loess is from the source, the finer the particles and the higher the degree of roundness.
  5. Ocher has a large gap between particles because its particles are not smooth, so it has good water permeability and hardly forms a stagnant water layer.
  6. The ocher layer formed of fine-grained materials has good cohesion and does not collapse easily.
 Characteristics of loess
  1. In old medical texts such as Donguibogam, Hyangyakjipseongbang, and Distilled Herbal Medicine, the medicinal effects of others are described in detail and are used as references.
  2. It is known as a mineral material useful for skin health, such as neuralgia, arthritis, rheumatism, etc., due to its high detoxifying properties.
