Polyurethane porous gel carrier is made of polyurethane and other polymer composite referred to as PPC carrier. Technical Principle
Different microorganisms (from bacteria to ciliates to rotifers) concentrate on the surface of the carrier to form biofilms. In the aerobic system, the carrier is kept in a fluidized state by aeration. The pollutants are gathered on the biofilm through this movement and then degraded by microorganisms. Juntai hydrophilic Polyurethane bio-fillers are a new type of biological filler modified and synthesized by polymer polyurethane material. The combination of macropore and micropore provides the basic conditions for the macropore to maintain stable gas, liquid, and solid state. Micropores are used for the adsorption and fixation of microorganisms. There are hydrophilic active groups such as amino, carboxyl, and epoxy groups in the micropores that allowed HPU MBBR Biomedia to absorb water, expand and settle rapidly as well as allowed the microorganisms and biological enzymes adsorbed and fixed on the HPU MBBR Biomedia rapidly at the same time. The density of immobilized microorganism HPU bio-media is greater than the density of water, making it form subsidence rapidly in the water with a large microbial load and a larger volume load than the surface area. Due to the structure characteristics of HPU bio-media, it allowed the sewage, air, and biofilm to get mixed contact exchange and made it possible for a large number of bacteria to sit in the carrier rapidly and maintain great activity and void variability. In addition, in the process of operation, the gases collide with each other driven by the three-dimensional flowing sewage and are cut into smaller bubbles by the HPU bio-media in a peristatic state, which increases the utilization rate of oxygen and reduces the aeration amount. Therefore, HPU bio-media, as a new type of biological media, has the characteristics of strong bubble-cutting ability, large space volume utilization rate, and non-blind area.
