Low levels of iron and manganese are eliminated from filtered raw water using the HEF iron removal filter with Clack main control valve. It is an automatic one-filter system that uses raw water for time-controlled backwashing. During backwashing, downstream systems can be turned off using a floating contact. There is an optional skid variant with city water backwash.
Terms of usage:

  • There is less unfiltered water available for backwashing.
  • With sizes 1C through 4C, there is momentarily no water available when the main control valve is switched.
  • A BP bypass valve must be installed if water is to be supplied constantly.
  • A service valve (BV) must be installed if only filtered water is to be delivered.
  • To guarantee adequate backwashing, it is also required to unpressurize the filtrate line.
  • The installation of an aeration and deaeration valve BEV is required if negative pressure can arise in the filter (for example, during operation prior to a pressure increase or RO).

Operating pressure 1.5 – 8.0 bar
