operation principle
The iron (manganese) ions in the water start to oxidize when the groundwater containing iron (manganese) is oxygenated or treated with an oxidant. Contact oxidation reactions, as well as biochemical and physical impacts on the filter material's surface, take place in the manganese sand filter layer when water passes through it. Iron (manganese) ions in the water are precipitated and eliminated by the interception and adsorption effect. Iron bacteria are particularly useful in the treatment of micro-polluted manganese-containing groundwater because they can efficiently remove both iron and manganese. They can also use ammonia in the water as a nutrient source for metabolization, and when other bacteria join in, they can also remove ammonia nitrogen from the water at the same time.
Editing procedures
Aerating apparatus Well water is pressured by a self-priming pump before it enters the aeration unit. In order to convert low-valent iron and low-valent manganese ions in the water into high-valent iron and high-valent manganese ions and quickly precipitate, it primarily permits the well water to come into complete contact with oxygen in the air. After being oxygenated in the sedimentation tank, the well water enters the sedimentation tank to begin the sedimentation process. (It mostly serves as a buffer, giving the water ample time to settle.)  A booster pump applies pressure to the precipitated clean water before it reaches the iron and manganese removal system, which mostly eliminates silt, rust, manganese, red worms, algae, and The following are the system's typical operating settings for a few metal substances, different suspended materials, and other solid substances: The typical filtration speed is 15 m/hr, and the working pressure is 0.3 mpa.

1. Aeration, a single-stage filtering method for removing iron and manganese, can be employed when the concentration of iron in the groundwater is 5–10 mg/l and the concentration of manganese is 1–2 mg/l, or when the groundwater solely includes iron and no manganese and the concentration of iron is approximately 10 mg/l. Groundwater to deep well pump, then aeration device, water tank, filter pump, iron and manganese removal device, reservoir, and water unit comprise the process flow.
2. Two-stage iron and manganese removal filtration with aeration should be employed if the iron and manganese content of the groundwater is high, defined as greater than 10 mg/l of iron and more than 2 mg/l of manganese.
Process flow: water tank → filter pump → primary iron and manganese removal device → secondary iron and manganese removal device → reservoir → water unit; groundwater → deep well pump → aeration device
