Chemical Oxygen Demand Meter Measurement:
COD TEST  
NOTE: Take the head of the reagent tube, and the reagent tube should be cleaned before being put in the test hole.

Estimate the COD value of the water sample

Choose the reagent and add the tested water sample according to the corresponding range.
 
COD:o-150mg/L(c11)
COD:100-1500mg/L(c12)
COD:1000-15000mg/L(c13)
 

1.take 2ml distilled water into a LR reagent tube(ZERO setting)
2. take a 2ml water sample into another LR reagent tube.
1.take 2ml distilled water into a HR reagent tube(ZERO setting)
2. take a 2ml water sample into another HR reagent tube.
1.take 2ml distilled water into a HR reagent tube(ZERO setting)
2. take 1.8ml distilled water into another HR reagent tube, then add 0.2ml water sample.
★Note: C12 and C13 can use the same zero-setting tube.
★Danger: There have concentrated sulfuric acid in the test tube, please wear gloves to operate.

Tighten the reagent tube cap, shake it well, and put it into the reactor, heat for 20 minutes at 165  ℃.
★Caution: Hot

After the reaction, take out the reagent tube, and when cooled to 80 ℃ shakes the reagent tube again.

Place the reagent tube on the tube rack and continue to cool to room temperature. This procedure prevents the reagent tube from shaking.
★Note: The suspended matter needs to be completely precipitated

Press the "ON/OFF" button to turn on the meter, and press the "SWITCH" button to select the required test item.

Open the detection cap, put it into the zero water sample reagent tube, cover the cap, and press the "ZERO" button to the zero setting.
★The tube wall should be cleaned.

Take out the zero water sample reagent tube, put it in the water sample reagent tube, and cover the cap.
★Under the c13 , when displayed as XXX mg/L, the detection value is XXX00mg/L.

Press the "READ" button. The digits shown on the screen is the value of the tested sample.

Press the "ON/OFF" button to turn off the meter

Chemical oxygen demand meter is applicable to analysis the COD (abbr. of Chemical Oxygen Demand) of groundwater, surface water, domestic sewage and industrial waste water.
COD is to measure the amount of oxygen consumed in the process of organic pollutants oxidation by oxidant.
