A screw pump transfers liquids or solids into a system by means of a revolving screw. The main components are a pump casing and one or more screws. Sludge and thickened wastewater are examples of viscous liquids that the pump is excellent at pumping in wastewater treatment projects. Wastewater is moved from the intake to the outlet by suction created by the screw's rotation, which forms a sealing chamber between it and the pump casing.
