The glass-fused steel (or enamelled steel) bolted tanks of Novarius Global are a premium breakthrough technology designed to last for a very long time with very little maintenance. These tanks combine the strength of steel with the resistance to corrosion of glass, making them ideal for storing dry bulk materials, biodigesters, potable water, wastewater, industrial chemicals, and sludge.
Enamel frit, or glass compounds, is chemically fused with steel sheets in a state-of-the-art furnace at temperatures between 800 and 1000 degrees Celsius under carefully regulated conditions to form an integrated covering that is impermeable to liquids and chemically inert. The glass-fused steel coating, when applied to both surfaces, offers many years of trouble-free operation, even in adverse environments.
Every glass-fused steel (GFS) panel is also examined for effects such as thermal shocks, pin holes (up to 1500 V), and UV stability. As a result, our GFS tanks will never corrode, scratch, or discolor.The American Water Works Association (AWWA) design and quality requirements are followed in the engineering, fabrication, and installation of Novarius GFS tanks, all of which are done under strict quality supervision.
