The NF 280 series membranes have a very high flux and can remove the precursors of TOC and THM (trihalides). At the same time, they provide some selectivity in the passage of divalent salts with a moderate passing rate and other salts with a a higher passing rate. It is the perfect membrane element for softening, concentrating, separating, or purifying inorganic salts, organic materials, natural medications, and fermentation broth, as well as for eliminating organic matter from surface and groundwater. Because of their large active area and high permeate flux rate, NF 280-400/34 elements can be used in a variety of industrial water treatment, concentration, and separation applications. Ideal for material separation, municipal and industrial water treatment, low operating energy consumption systems under ultra-low pressure, and the removal of TOC, THM precursors, and salts.
