The ROTARY SCREEN combines filtration and compacting methods to separate solids and liquids at high flow rates. They have a screen basket, perforated pores, or wedge wire that rotates with the transport screw and serves as a filter. The transportation system then finishes with a compacting modulus. A shaft screw is used to move the screenings until they reach the compacting/dewatering section, where they reduce weight and volume by up to 40%.
