Siwa self-cleaning parabolic filters of the SF series consist of a curved slotted static sieve with openings ranging from 0.2 to 3 mm. The slots are perpendicular to the flow of the fluid and the sieve has a curvature that allows the fluid to pass through the slots and the solids to slide along its upper surface, or to form small cylinders of solids that are discharged by the solids hopper. These sieves are recommended when the particles to be removed are easy to separate from the liquid or slide along the filtering surface.
Operation Mode
The fluid to be filtered enters the distribution chamber where turbulence keeps the solids in suspension. The flow is distributed homogeneously across the width of the screen, which has a curvature (variable for each use) that allows the liquid to pass through the openings into a drainage channel, while the solids are retained and displaced by the upper face of the filter screen to the discharge lip.
