Fully demineralized water is not necessary in all applications; blended water with a defined residual hardness or defined residual salt content will do. The on-site tank's permeate and RO feed water are automatically blended using the blending device VSE. As soon as permeate is produced, the mixing device's magnetic valve opens.
Terms of usage:

The reverse osmosis unit must be bought with the VSE option.
The intended residual hardness in the blended water is only set once during installation when blending devices are used.
However, the blending valve needs to be readjusted as well if there is a major change in the hardness of the raw water, such as when the waterworks supplies a different kind of water.

Utilization of VSE Blending Device

Production of water in the permeate tank with a specified residual salt concentration or residual hardness
Optional for the UO (C, CD), UO-D (FU, CD), and UO-D AS/FU series.
