The ph electrode is a device that is used to measure the electrode potential value on the ph meter in contact with the tested solution.
The electrodes used in the potentiometric analysis are called primary cells.
The galvanic cell is a system that functions to turn the chemical reaction energy into electricity, and the voltage of the battery is called electromotive force. The electromotive force is composed of two half batteries.
One of the half cells is called the measuring electrode, its potential is related to the specific ionic activity, and the other half cell is a reference half cell, usually called a reference electrode, which is generally communicated with the measurement solution and is connected with the measuring instrument.
The ph composite electrode is the electrode that combines the ph indicating electrode and the reference electrode, which can be divided into two kinds of plastic shell and glass according to the different shell material.
Compared with the indicator electrode, the composite electrode is more convenient to use.
