Membrane bioreactors (MBRs) combine biological treatment and membrane filtration to clean wastewater. Comparing this novel approach to the traditional activated sludge process reveals a number of benefits. These benefits include enhanced effluent quality, reduced requirement for secondary clarifiers, and increased biomass concentration. Sewage is converted into pure, high-quality water by MENA-Water. The systems can be fitted into scenic, natural settings and treat wastewater to the highest grade suitable for irrigation thanks to the treatment technology's tiny footprint.
MBR Ultrafiltration The membrane filtration unit, which is comprised of ultra filtration membranes stacked on a stainless steel frame, is the central technology of the MBR system. 99.9999% of the virus and bacteria are reduced by the filtration. Bubble diffusers constantly aerate filter surfaces, keeping them clean. Other than one or two annual maintenance clearings, the membranes don't require chemical cleaning on a regular basis.
Standardized and ready to use
Compact package plants for MBR systems are being developed by MENA-Water, allowing for the daily filtering of over 1200 m³ in a single 40-foot ISO container. Stainless steel sheets are used to construct the interior tanks. Plants may be transported with ease thanks to the standard ISO container design, and factory quality testing allows for Plug & Play solutions at the site.
