Technical characteristics for material used in quartz sand filters
1. The total wearing and crushing rates of the quartz sand filter material cannot exceed 1.5% (the percentage is based on mass, as shown below).
2. The density of the quartz sand filter material, unless there are particular density requirements in usage, must be less than 2.55g/cm3.
3. There should be no apparent dirt, mica, or organic contaminants in the quartz sand filter material, and there shouldn't be any harmful materials in the filter material's water extract. The maximum percentage of mud allowed is 1%, while the maximum percentage of light substance (density less than 2G/cm3) allowed is 0.2%.
4. The material used to filter quartz sand must have an ignition loss of no more than 0.7%.
5. The material used to filter quartz sand cannot dissolve more than 3.5% in hydrochloric acid.
