Applications of Poly Aluminium Ferric Chloride include: 
1. Polyaluminum ferric chloride, as a water treatment agent, is highly adaptable to a wide range of water quality, particularly in terms of the coagulation and precipitation effects on highly turbid water.
2. The cost of purifying water is 15–30% less than that of other inorganic coagulants, and the resultant water is superior to inorganic coagulants such aluminium sulphate. Flocculants settle and develop fast.
3. Low dosage and high iron content can lower the cost of producing water.
4. The PH range of 5.0 to 9.0 is condensable for source water.
5. Less corrosive, better soluble than aluminium sulphate, and suitable operating circumstances.
6. Ion exchange treatment and the creation of pure water benefit from treated water having less salt in it.
7. There is little hydration and rapid hydrolysis. The alum bloom that forms is compact, and it settles quickly. The minimal impact of water temperature changes can satisfy the need to produce shear force throughout the flow operation.
8. After aluminium salt coagulation, it may efficiently remove any remaining free aluminium ions as well as aluminium ions found in the source water.
