Each pleated bag filter was designed to replace standard filter bags and cages and has a one-piece construction design that allows it to be employed in new systems or as a simple retrofit in existing bag house equipment for increased system performance. Pleated bag filters have more filtering media than typical felt bags, improving filtration surface area and consequently capacity. Due to enhanced media in the pleat pack design, pleated bag filters provide nearly twice as much filtering area in current equipment as typical 16 oz. polyester felt bags, with up to 2-3 times the filter life.
When the airflow remains constant, the greater filter area causes the air-to-media ratio to decrease, greatly enhancing filtration efficiency while working at significantly lower differential pressures.
Pleated bag filters are shorter than regular fabric bags, allowing for a bigger drop out area and less bag abrasion. There are numerous installation options to accommodate all operating situations. Top-load, bottom-load, and oval layouts are available, with several filter media options including ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) and spunbond polyester.There are also high temperature media and setups available.
