CIP stands for cleaning in place system, and it is a system in which manufacturing equipment (tanks, pipelines, and valves, for example) and the entire production line are cleaned and disinfected in a closed loop without being disassembled or opened. Industrial cleaning machines are used to clean equipment and pipes in the dairy, beverage, alcoholic beverage, agricultural, and sideline products industries. The CIP cleaning system is made up of an acid tank, an alkali tank, a hot water tank, a pure water tank, a back-water tank, a thick-acid tank, a thick-alkali tank, a heat exchanger, pumps, peripheral valves, and pipes. These tanks can be assigned based on technological criteria. In general, a CIP system consisting merely of acid tanks, alkali tanks, and hot-water tanks is sufficient for cleaning requirements.
