Operation of Ozonator
Ozonators produce ozone in two ways:
Corona discharge occurs when an electrical discharge splits oxygen into single oxygen atoms, which then bond to O2 to generate ozone (O3).
UV light:

UV light from the sun causes O2 to divide into individual oxygen atoms, which subsequently bond to O2 to form ozone (O3). This approach is thought to be less efficient than corona discharge.
