Operations of ACF Filter

  • ACF is used to filter raw water. 
  • The Activated Carbon Bed absorbs impurities in the water. 
  • Backwashing is used to remove deposited contaminants from the media. 
  • Using raw water to rinse For the regeneration of the activated carbon bed, ACFs are equipped with a steam sterilizing system.

Applications of ACF Filter
  1. Treatment of drinking water, river water, ground water, and waste water for odor, color, free chlorine, and organic matter removal.
  2. Industrial WTP and RO plant pre-treatment.
  3. Mineral water bottling operations require pre-treatment.

Characteristics of  ACF Filter

  • Pre-treatment system for ion exchangers and membrane systems like as RO, etc. at a low cost.
  • Carbon that has been activated by steam or chemical means works as an adsorbent.
  • There are two types of activated carbon:
  1. Granules are used to clean drinking water.
  2. Powdered form - utilized in industrial wastewater treatment.
  • To some extent, it is used to remove color, odor, free chlorine, organic and inorganic pollutants.
  • Options for manual and automatic operation
  • MOC: FRP, SS, and MS.
