GPRS wireless water meters belong to high-tech smart water meters, using advanced wireless transmission technology. It transmits metered information of conventional mechanical water meters to cloud servers via GPRS.
GPRS AMR water meter combines GSM wireless access technology and Internet packet switching technology.

Functions of the GPRS wireless water meter

Work process
GPRS water meter transmits data and receives commands from the water meter via a 2 G signal to the Platform.
AMI SYSTEM INTRODUCTION SIMPLE IS SMART:

The system comprises four parts: a monitoring centre, a communications network, terminal equipment, and a meter.

How can the valve be found and handled if it cannot be closed or opened?
If the valve is blocked by sand and gravel flowing into the pipeline, the program in the water meter will try within the 40s to perform the action of the switch valve within. If the valve cannot be switched normally, the water meter will give up the instruction and return the failure data to the platform. On the platform, the relevant information about the water meter can be viewed for the convenience of the management.
We will replace a new water meter within the warranty time of 1 year if no human damage and it can't be repaired. Out of warranty time, we will offer free guide service in all use life of water meter.
Battery time is 5 years in normal working conditions. Normally used for less than 5 years, we will offer a free battery for change
Installation And Usage:
Select the right water meter according to the nominal flow rate less than or next to the rate through the pipe. It is not a good way for the user to buy the water meter based on the pipe size.
The place to be installed should be free from sunshine, frost, pollutant, and water. During the period of frost, the inlet valve in the meter should be closed and the outlet valve and water tap should be open except for being packed for thermal insulation, thus preventing the damage from being frozen.
The meter should be installed horizontally, the digits on the dial are up to the face and the arrow direction in the meter should be the same as the flow. The stone, sand, and slight impurities in the newly installed pipe should be cleared off for the sake of the meter fault. For the purpose of metering accurately, the water tap should be higher than the meter.
The water meter should be not connected to the pipe and there are live interfaces (e.g.pipe interface, connection screw, sealing washer, etc.) between the meter and the pipe. The meter should not be damaged due to the over-stress caused by the pipe and its elements during installation.
