What is pH and what does it measure?
Basically, the "p" stands for potential, and "H" stands for hydrogen. pH is a measure of the hydrogen ion activity in a water solution. Whether a solution is perceived as acidic or alkaline depends on the activity of the H+ ion.
The pH values of different aqueous (water) solutions can be arranged in a pH scale. It is a 14-point scale used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. A value of 7 is neutral. A pH less than 7 is acidic and a pH higher than 7 is alkali.

Measuring the pH value is very important in biochemistry, chemistry, technology, and even in normal life for body health. In industry, it affects many chemical processes and reactions however pH values of body saliva, urine and blood are through affecting human health.

What are the Universal PHX strips?
