The VACOMASS® elliptic diaphragm control valve is a high-precision, gas-tight sliding gate valve designed for efficient air flow control and distribution in wastewater treatment aeration tanks. Its elliptic aperture and falling flow axis enable sensitive, low-loss regulation even after pipe bends. Built with stainless steel and PTFE/carbon materials, it ensures smooth, vibration-free operation, while a patented wave breaker minimizes noise. The valve offers a stable control curve across the full stroke range (0–100%), with minimal pressure loss (<10 mbar at full load) and excellent energy efficiency. It also allows easy air flow increases for aerator cleaning or pulse aeration, fully complying with the German DWA-M 229-1 standard
