The control valve combines flow-related and production-related difficulties. It was specifically designed and optimized for aeration, making it the only one in the world. It satisfies every condition outlined in the DWA M 229-1 pamphlet and the NRW Energy in Wastewater Treatment Plants handbook. The control valve combines flow-related and production-related difficulties. It was specifically designed and optimized for aeration, making it unique in the world. It satisfies every criteria outlined in the January 2018 edition of the NRW Energy in Wastewater Treatment Plants Handbook as well as the DWA M 229-1 pamphlet from September 2017.

Differences between the planned system design and the actual working conditions afterwards are irrelevant. The linear operating characteristic and steady control accuracy with a completely usable control range of 0–100% are to blame for this. With the VACOMASS® jet control valve, control valves that are too big and unavoidably needed for full-load operation but are thereafter unable to regulate correctly in the partial load range are no longer required. The new design has totally eliminated this issue.
There are extra pressure losses in the measurement and control portions when using orifice control valves since the pipe cross-section typically widens at the end and tapers at the beginning. In contrast, the VACOMASS® jet control valve typically requires no tapering or widening and can be put straight into the pipe.
It is also possible to place the air flow meter 0.5*D in front of the control valve; this will have negligible impact on the air flow signal when the valve opens or closes.
