The Cotton filter, the initial stage:
It is composed of a polypropylene cotton candle that eliminates solid pollutants including rust, sand, clay, and algae, purifying water up to 5 microns.
The granular carbon stage, or second stage:
Its purpose is to remove dissolved gases and purify water by eliminating undesirable elements including taste, smell, color, and chlorine. It is composed of thermally activated carbon.
Stage three (carbon steel)
Its purpose is to filter out the tiniest contaminants before the water enters the fourth stage. It is constructed of carbon steel with holes that are one micron in size.
The salt filter, or fourth stage:
It is referred to as a membrane. Its 0.0001 micron holes are extremely tiny and narrow, allowing it to remove germs 100% of the time, salts 96% of the time, and heavy metals 96% of the time using a mechanical expulsion rate that doesn't require the use of chemicals.
