We are discussing groundwater exploration and extraction today.
The following are the components of exploration:
The field research.

Based on the collection and analysis of prior research on the region and its environs in terms of topography, geology, geomorphology, pedology, geophysics, climate, and Surface water occurrences, it is carried out to develop an understanding of the geological and hydrological conditions of the area.
The geophysical investigation (geophysical investigation).
There are two kinds of surveys used in geophysical research for water exploration.
Sounding electrically (Electric Survey).
Sounding by electromagnetic means (Electromagnetic Survey).
Completing the site's geophysical research, whether it be an electrical or electromagnetic survey, in order to get the following data.
The kind of subsurface sequence that exists there, as well as the thickness and horizontal extent of each layer.
Being aware of whether groundwater is present or not.
The distance between the earth's surface and the groundwater level.
Identifying the zones that are not aquifer-bearing and the layers that are aquifer-producing.
How thick each of the research area's aquifers is.
The aquifer layer's thickness and this water's economic feasibility.
The region's aquifer's horizontal extent.
Groundwater recharge source (permanent or continuous).
The safe separation between the nearby wells, the production well, and the injection well, if any.
Creating a geoelectric model for the local aquifer.
Determining the best sites for the well's drilling.
The extraction well's suggested design.
Up to 450 meters below the surface using electromagnetic surveying.
A thorough technical report that examines each of the earlier components, including the geophysical study's findings and interpretation.
