Heat-Shrinkable Sleeves:
Usually, three-layer polyolefin systems,, including high density polyethylene or polypropylene are used to pre-coat pipe lengths at the mill. On each pipe end, a 100–200 mm bare steel cutback is left for field welding; these cutback portions will eventually need to be coated externally.
Using the heat shrinkable sleeve technology, Tabteen CPT may send its applicators to remote sites to coat girth weld field joints. Pipelines used to transport gas, oil, and water can have a uniform external finish thanks to this corrosion prevention technology.
Applying Tape Wrapping Cold:
Girth weld field joints are covered with cold-applied tape wrap to prevent corrosion on the asset. The lotion is long lasting and can be applied quickly. This corrosion prevention technique can shield against a wide range of service temperatures and environmental factors and is occasionally used to coat the complete pipeline in situ. With their experience, Tabteen CPT may use this equipment in the field as well as in the shop.
