The HC41X silencer check valve, which is specifically designed to remove water hammer, is a check valve that is mounted on the water pump's outlet pipe. When the pump is stopped, the spring-assisted valve shuttle promptly closes before the positive direction flow approaches zero, preventing pre-hammer and thereby removing noise. The medium's flow causes the check valve to automatically open and close the valve disc. This valve keeps the medium from flowing backward. Other names for the silencer check valve (HC41X) include back pressure, non-return, one-way, reverse flow, and silencer check valve. The valve is automated. Its primary purpose is to stop the medium from backflowing, the drive motor and pump from rotating in the opposite direction, and the container medium from emptying. In addition, the pipeline that supplies the auxiliary system—where the pressure can surpass the system pressure—can be equipped with a check valve.
The following considerations should be made during the HC41X silencer check valve installation:
1. Make sure the check valve in the pipeline is not supporting any weight. To ensure that they are not impacted by the pressure created by the pipeline, large check valves should be supported independently.
2. During installation, be mindful that the medium flow direction should line up with the valve body's arrow direction.
3. Vertical pipelines should have lift-type vertical flap check valves installed.
4. Horizontal pipelines should have lift-type horizontal flap check valves installed.
