Widely used for primary filtration, Siwa screens are made to measure for the channel in width and depth, with different openings and cleaning systems. Of the “SIERRA-STEP” type, with rotating screen, or with bars with cleaning system. The openings can be from 3 to 120 mm.
Anti-jam Safety System
The equipment has two ways of detecting jams. On the one hand, an inductive sensor registers the increase in torque on a damped arm and sends the signal to the controller. On the other hand, the variable speed drive detects the increase in intensity and sends a signal to the controller.
In both cases, the controller immediately stops the comb and reverses until the second comb clears the obstruction. If the obstruction is not cleared, the action is repeated a set number of times, and if not, the equipment stops and reports the fault.
Solids Extraction System
An articulated arm sweeps the solids from the comb when it is at the top and induces them into a tray that guides them into a basket.
Transmission
The equipment has two pairs of gear wheels. The upper wheels are driven directly by the gear motor and are connected to a solid shaft that rotates on bearings. The lower wheels are connected to the upper ones by a chain which in turn is responsible for moving the combs. The lower wheels are independent and rotate on high-resistance bearings.
