From our production facilities in Europe, Filtralite filter media is delivered and installed in over 60 countries.
How It’s Made — A Proven Production Process
The Filtralite production process follows well-established and carefully controlled steps, from clay extraction to final delivery. Natural clay is heated to temperatures of up to 1,150°C, causing it to expand into durable, highly porous aggregates.

After firing, the material undergoes several stages:
  • Crushing
  • Sieving into defined grain sizes
  • Classification into various density types to meet diverse filtration requirements

  • Low bulk density for easier handling, installation, and transport
  • Long service life with excellent mechanical durability
