Principle and Application of  KTP600 Online Total Phosphorus Analyzer
Total phosphorus is the total content of phosphorus in water, and it is an important index to evaluate water quality. Its main sources are domestic sewage, fertilizer, organophosphorus pesticides and phosphate detergent used in modern times. Phosphorus in water is a key element for algae growth. Excessive phosphorus is the main cause of pollution and foul smell, eutrophication in lakes and red tide in bays.
Principle: phosphorus compounds in water are oxidized to orthophosphate by strong oxidant under high temperature and high pressure. Orthophosphate is reduced to blue phosphomolybdic acid in a molybdic acid solution, by measuring the absorbance of the phosphomolybdate, the total phosphorus content in the water sample was obtained.
