Water-soluble and high molecular weight, anionic polyacrylamide (APAM) (CAS No. 9003-05-8) is a polymer. It is primarily utilized for the flocculation, sedimentation, and clarifying treatment of many types of industrial wastewater, including coal-washing, metallurgical, iron and steel, and electroplating plant effluent.
