Sahara Industry is an Indian water softener manufacturer focused on exports. In the water softener market, SAHARA INDUSTRY is one of the leading brands. The basis for these water softening plants is the well-established ion exchange mechanism. The tiny, highly effective, and easy-to-use water softeners are made to provide soft water in an economical and efficient manner. The water softeners are ready to install, come in a variety of sizes and materials, and can be fully automated or manually operated. For certain applications, the water softening plants can be customized or purchased as standard models.
The Working Principle of Water Softening Plants
A sodium-based high-capacity polystyrene bead cation exchange resin powers the water softeners. The hardness-forming calcium and magnesium salts are swapped out for sodium salts, which have no hardness qualities, when hard water flows through this resin column. When the material is regenerated using a solution of regular salt, the softening process continues until the sodium salts have been used up.
The sophisticated co-current/counter-current principle used in the design of the water softener units guarantees consistently high-quality treated water.

  • Pre-filters, a brine tank, a water softener vessel containing resin, and accessories make up a standard water softening plant.
  • A variety of materials, including FRP, LDPE, MS/MS Rubber Lined, and stainless steel, are available for the water softener units.
  • These water softeners are made to provide long-lasting, trouble-free operation and come with multiport and diaphragm valves.
  • These water softener devices need little upkeep, are simple to install, and don't require a particular foundation.
Automatic Twin Water Softening Plant
SAHARA INDUSTRY provides completely automatic twin water softening plants that use salt-saving technology to create soft water with minimal residual hardness. These softeners save money on regeneration because they use nearly 25% less salt.
Lime Softening Water Softening Plants
In the lime softening process, hardness (calcium and magnesium) ions are precipitated out by adding lime (calcium hydroxide). Adding lime in the form of Ca(OH)2 softens the material by reacting with CO2 to create calcium carbonate precipitate, then with multivalent cations to remove carbonate hardness, and finally with anions to replace the non-carbonate hardness caused by the multivalent cations with calcium-induced non-carbonate hardness. The lime softening technique is no longer employed since it generates a lot of sludge.
We Provide India's Broadest Selection of Water Softening Plants:
