Applying liquid epoxy coatings to the inside surfaces of pipes and fittings can be a useful way to stop corrosion. This technique protects against high temperatures, aggressive oil and gas fluid transmission, and corrosive chemicals, all of which shorten an asset's lifespan.
Surface Preparation:
It is crucial to attain the proper surface profile internally by eliminating any undesirable contaminants and impurities, such as grease, dirt, rust, and mill scale, before applying the epoxy coating to the pipe.
Tabteen CPT uses top-notch surface preparation techniques that include blasting apparatus that spins a head to discharge abrasive onto the steel wall surface. The end product is a uniform finish that can be adjusted to satisfy the necessary cleaning standards.
Interior Pipe Coating:
After surface preparation is complete, specific coating equipment is employed depending on the size of the pipe (usually 4’’ to 40’’ in diameter). When the machine is running, it moves internally at a configurable speed, producing a uniform film thickness along the whole length of the pipe. Without having to rotate the pipe, our coating techniques offer a creative and effective way to paint the internal steel substrate. The procedure can be repeated for two or three coats, respectively.
