How do you use an expansion tank?
The expansion tank, also known as a pressure tank, pressure vessel, bladder tank, or expansion vessel, is a steel tank with a bladder (membrane) inside that is used to keep the system pressure within predetermined bounds. Hot water and chilled water closed systems use these expansion tanks. Typically, three to four bars of air are used to pre-charge the pressure tanks, also known as pressure vessels.
