Functioning
Progressive cavity pumps are positive displacement equipment where a solid metal rotor rotates inside a rubber stator generating independent cavities that move longitudinally through the assembly. The screw rotates eccentrically with respect to the drive shaft, and therefore a transmission that allows this movement must be used.
