The Vortex flowmeter OPTISWIRL 4200 has an incorporated temperature sensor. It is best suited for liquid flow measurement, dry or humid gas flow measurement, and saturated or superheated steam flow measurement in supply processes (auxiliary service) and distribution networks. The device is also an ideal choice for advanced energy management systems (according to ISO 50001) because it includes integrated gross and net heat measurement for steam and condensate. Vortex meters can be supplied with an optional integrated pressure sensor for gas and steam measurements under varied process conditions.
Unlike traditional Vortex meters, the OPTISWIRL 4200 can detect flow, temperature, and pressure, as well as calculate flow, all in one gadget. This saves about 45% on installation expenses and improves overall system accuracy. The flowmeter is available with a flange connection or as a flangeless wafer. It is also available with an integrated nominal diameter reduction and in a field mount configuration (with cable lengths up to 50 m / 164 ft). The OPTISWIRL 4200 is intended for use in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and has been approved for use in hazardous environments.
