Manganese sand filter material, an aeration device, multiport control valves, and FRP tanks (carbon steel or stainless steel tanks are also available) are the main parts of an iron and manganese filter system. To keep people healthy and ensure that industrial production runs smoothly, iron and manganese filter systems can help remove excess iron and manganese ions.
Constructions
Filter tank
. Typically, the system has two FRP tanks: one for filtering and one for aeration. You should choose the FRP tank's contents based on your flow.
Media. To efficiently remove iron and manganese ions, this system uses natural manganese sand as the filter material.
Distributor of water.
The top distributor can assist in achieving uniform distribution in the filtering tank and falling aeration of the raw water. The bottom distributor can aid in the flow of treated water by blocking impurities.
Control valves with multiple ports. Runxin control valves can be used to improve filter performance and save pipeline placement.

Principle of Operation
Aeration.
Raw water is pumped into the aeration tank through the pump. After two aerations (Impeller aeration and falling aeration), some of the low-valent iron and manganese ions are oxidized into high-valent iron and manganese ions, resulting in the production of iron hydroxide and manganese oxide precipitates. Meanwhile, the exhaust valve's water pressure and air pressure fluctuate intermittently from the exhaust port discharge COâ‚‚ exhaust gas, causing the dissolved oxygen water to have an alkaline pH (iron and manganese must be carried out in alkaline water).
Filter and Backwash. After entering the filter tank, the fully oxygenated dissolved oxygen water passes through the layer of natural manganese sand. Clean water is obtained through the filtering effect of manganese sand, which catalyzes the oxidation of divalent iron and manganese ions to high valent iron and manganese ions and hydroxide precipitates. Regular backwashing allows the hydroxide precipitates and contaminants in the manganese sand to be released from the filter tank via the filter valve's backwashing function.

Advantages of Iron and Manganese Filter System
The excess iron and manganese ions in subterranean water can be efficiently removed by an iron and manganese filter system. It can ensure the smooth operation of the equipment and supply qualified water quality for the following prefilter systems.
