Vertical Multistage Pump Characteristics and Advantages

The EBARA-patented Shurricane impeller, made of AISI 316 steel, has a novel design that reduces the axial load that typically rests on the bearings. This provides optimum market efficiency and permits the use of any standard motor.
The mechanical seal of the cartridge type makes maintenance simple. It can be easily replaced without requiring the motor support to be disassembled. The seals that are utilized comply with EN12756 and can be readily procured from the market if needed.
A large range of connections are available that can be customized to fit specific needs based on the application, the liquid being pumped, the system they are to be mounted on, and other factors. These include oval, round, and DIN movable flanges as well as clamp and Victaulic joints.
The vent lid was intentionally positioned above the level of the mechanical seal to ensure the bleeding of any air bubbles, hence avoiding the issue of dry running.
In the event of an inverter or other control systems being present, a standard connection for the pressure sensor is available for a prompt connection. Standard 3/8" loading and unloading plugs that can also be used to connect a pressure gauge.
