Principle of operation
Snap the valve shut.
The diaphragm pushes the valve seat through the valve stem to collect the incoming water and close the valve. Lead the control pressure source—either water or air—to the control chamber on the diaphragm.
Slide the valve open.
The valve is opened and a passage for the fluid to travel through is formed when the pressure in the diaphragm's upper chamber is released by the water pushing the valve stem open with its own pressure.
