9% high-alkalinity liquid Polyaluminum chloride is one of the liquid packs with a high alkalinity and an alumina content of 9-9.5%. This solution is the most effective for eliminating turbidity and clarifying drinking water. PAC is an alkaline liquid based on aluminum that has a high positive charge and alkalinity percentage. This results in lower consumption and hence smaller sludge volume as compared to previous coagulants like ferric chloride and alum. The usage of this product causes bigger clots to develop, allowing turbidity-causing chemicals in water to settle more easily.
This makes it easier to clean sand filters and decanters in subsequent phases of the water turbidity process.
In general, PAC with an alumina content of about 9-9.5% is produced by diluting liquid polyaluminum chloride with an alumina content of 17% and adding one or more alkaline agents such as calcium carbonate, calcium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, or... until its alkalinity reaches about 65-75%. A secondary alkalinity agent known as a sequestering agent can be employed to formulate high alkalinity packs. This improves the structure's polymerization characteristics, enhancing the rate of coagulation and flocculation even at low turbidity and temperature. Sequestering agents also improve the end product's storage stability.

Applications of High-alkalinity liquid packs
AvoPAC 9HB is a highly effective coagulant/flocculant that is the best and healthiest material to use in the clarification/de-turbidity process of drinking and municipal water. Other applications for this material include the creation of deodorants and cosmetics, the recovery of wastewater from the coal and ceramic tile industries, and the paper industry. PAC material is also utilized in printing, cement and concrete production, pharmaceutical and food industries, detergents, and catalysts.

Advantages of High Alkalinity Liquid Packs
  1. Because of their mutagenic properties, polyelectrolytes should be avoided while purifying drinking water to get proper outcomes with the fewest possible adverse effects on human health and the environment. For this, the best alternative is to use liquid PAC with a high alkalinity and low aluminium concentration.
  2. These PAC products contribute around 200 ppb (parts per billion) of aluminium ions to treated water. Also, high alkalinity liquid PAC offers excellent storage stability and a pH range of 2-3.
  3. This indicates that, after eliminating the turbidity of the water, there is little need to apply water pH altering products to neutralize its acidity.
  4. The Roshan Abavash firm currently possesses the technology to create Avo PAC 9HB on an industrial scale. This company is pleased to be the first to create this product in Iran.
  5. Based on the high alkalinity liquid PAC production process in Roshana Abavash firm, also known as polyaluminum chlorohydroxy sulphate, the formulation of this product is Al 2 (OH) x CL y (SO 4) 6-(x+y)/2, with an alkalinity of 65-75%. This product can be produced at temperatures ranging from room temperature to 80 degrees Celsius without producing waste.
  6. For further information on high alkalinity liquid pack, please see the material's safety data sheet.
